Social Tables stakes out $8 million to bolster hospitality product
Special event diagramming and management startup Social Tables, which has been making the conference circuit this year with its cloud solution, has secured $8 million in Series A financing.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, and had participation by Thayer Ventures, 500 Startups, Militello Capital, Middleland Capital, and Fortify Ventures.
The financing will be used to fuel growth further into hospitality, both by improving the product for its current 2,500 customers and by increasing sales efforts to increase the customer base.
Washington, DC mayor Vincent Gray was present at the announcement, speaking to the importance of hospitality technology’s place in the city:
The hospitality and technology industries in the District of Columbia play a critical role in strengthening the city’s economy and ensuring the District remains a world-class city. Social Tables’ creative approach to merging these two vital sectors has been phenomenal, and I congratulate Dan and his team for securing funding that will allow Social Tables to continue to grow and thrive.
