Secret Escapes acquires Travelist, wants to get flashy elsewhere in Europe
Secret Escapes is showing there is still life in the flash hotel sale model, buying fellow Polish brand Travelist in a bid to expand in Europe.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Travelist brand will continue under CEO Tomasz Nowinksi.
Travelist was formed in 2012 by former-Groupon Poland managing director Nowinksi and covers flights, hotels and holiday deals, growing its subscriber base to 600,000 members.
Secret Escapes expects the figure to climb by a further 300% this year and another 200% in 2015.
