The move means that Amadeus is one step closer to allowing authorised travel agents in the mainland the ability to fulfil the entire billing and ticketing process of travel products offered by foreign BSP airlines.
"Granting us this certification allows us to do what we do best—bring superior technology, speed, efficiency and financial savings to travel agents," said managing director for Amadeus Greater China, Bart Tompkins.
Amadeus' IATA BSP certification follows approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China in January allowing authorised international airlines to be bookable via Amadeus in China.
