Social travel startup Trippiece secures $2 million investment
Trippiece, a Japan-based user generated content-led travel planner, has secured a funding of $2 million from Draper Nexus Venture Partners and other investors.
The company, headquartered in Tokyo, also added Fumiaki Koizumi to its board of directors. Koizumi has previously worked with Mixi, Japan’s social network portal.
With the investment, Trippiece says it has plans to develop smartphone apps and improve operations.
The startup is planning to launch a corporate membership plan, and arrange tours accompanied by entertainers or performers.
