In this article, the author points out that winners in emerging online travel markets will turn out to be local players with strong technical teams, a deep understanding of local suppliers, and the ability to raise a lot of capital.

If we look at online travel around the globe, we can see that the four key global emerging markets – Brazil, Russia, India and China – are showing substantially greater growth than the developed world.
