Japanese workers are forfeiting almost half of their annual holiday allowance due to work pressures, according to a worldwide consumer survey by Expedia.
The poll of 9,000 adults across 13 countries also paints a gloomy picture in the US and Italy where only 83% of a worker’s holiday entitlement is used over a 12 month period.
But Japan is by far the most unfortunate host with just 55% of holiday taken during the year.
