Amadeus powers Air China’s first online booking engine for SMEs

Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, today announced the deployment of its online booking engine to Air China’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Programme, Air China Rewards.

Hong Kong, China (Asia Pacific), 12 May 2010 – Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, today announced the deployment of its online booking engine to Air China’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Programme, Air China Rewards.

The online booking engine will power reservations and ticketing by SMEs based in China, Australia, Canada, Singapore and the United Kingdom and allow real-time bookings and an upfront discount of 3-5 percent on air fares upon enrolment to the Programme. The booking engine incorporates Amadeus’ e-Retail, Web e-Ticketing and Payment Gateway solutions.

Air China is the first Chinese carrier to adopt the Amadeus’ e-Retail solution to power an online booking engine specifically for SMEs.
