Holiday Deals sees Wego´s Deals section, which collects the latest deals from Wego´s suite of partners, incorporated into the news.com.au/travel website.
Publisher of news.com.au, Sigrid Kirk, said that the new section was created in response to readers´ requests for low-cost travel deals.
"With the current state of the economy, Australians want the best value for their hard earned dollar. As a result we have seen a significant rise in search engine enquiries for holiday deals and short break holidays," said Kirk. "Holiday Deals is the perfect solution – it saves travellers time and money by listing the latest deals in one spot."
Sam Lindner, Australian marketing manager for Wego expects the success of Wego´s Deals page to be replicated through holidaydeals.news.com.au. "Consumer travel confidence took a bit of a beating over the last couple of months which has caused hesitation with travel plans. However, the new year has seen the release of some really hot travel deals, both internationally and domestically, as travel operators stimulate consumer confidence for travelling."
