Tuesday, 23 December 2008: Amadeus have launched an Automated Ticketing Limits solution that allows airlines to optimise their revenue and eliminate redundant bookings.

The solution is Amadeus’ latest development under their Airline Retailing Platform which is a new distribution proposition that was only launched earlier this year.

Automated Ticketing Limits can work by itself or with the flagship solution Amadeus Revenue Integrity to check reservations against business policies to ensure the processing of reservations that are not likely to disappear or do not meet the policies of an airline.

In doing so, the elimination of redundant bookings will allow airlines to resell seats and collect the maximum amount of revenue.

Air France is the first airline to launch Amadeus Automated Ticketing Limits.

The real-time information on ticketing time limits received by travel agents on an immediate prompt increased operational efficiency and improved customer service according to Air France Vice President, Revenue Management, Catherine Colbus Medioni.

“We are able to reduce revenue leakage by eliminating the cost of non-productive bookings and improve revenues through the reselling of released inventory.”

Frederic Spagnou, Amadeus Vice President, Airline Business Group, believes that airlines need to safeguard revenues in order to tackle the challenging economic climate and with Amadeus’ latest solution airlines will be able to optimise revenues and improve profitability.
