Published: 22 Sep 2008: Travelzoo has chosen Holger Bartel as its new chief executive officer, effective October 1, 2008.
The company´s current CEO, Ralph Bartel, will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
Holger Bartel was responsible for Travelzoo´s operations in North America from 2001 to 2007. He served as the company´s executive vice president from 2001 and served as vice president of sales and marketing from 1999.
He has served as a member of the board of directors of Travelzoo since June 2005.
On the appointment of his brother as the CEO, Ralph Bartel, CEO, Travelzoo, said, "(Holger´s) His deep operational experience in sales, content, marketing and production combined with his strategy background as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company make him a first-rate candidate for the CEO position."
