Sprice.com launches in Singapore
Monday, August 11, 2008: Sprice.com, travel search engine, launched its new Singapore website earlier this week allowing potential travellers to easily search and compare real time fares.
Already well established in Europe, it is a free service allowing consumers to make bookings with the click of a button and the fares displayed on Sprice.com include up-to-date taxes, surcharges and all-inclusive prices.
“With the advanced technology to search millions of travel rates within a few seconds, Sprice.com meets consumers’ need for freedom of choice and easy access to market prices and inventory of travel suppliers” said Vikas Gulati, VP of Sprice.com in Asia Pacific.
She also pointed out that the website which has grown a monthly average of 20-30 percent is largely due to the consistent Research and Development (R&D) to develop “new-generation applications” so that the website contains “rich, localised and relevant content”.
Singapore travel suppliers will be also able to use the website to further their business cost-effectively, where consumers will be re-directed to the vendor website of the selected fare, giving suppliers the opportunity to market themselves whilst the consumer is going through the booking process.
“We are the no. 1 travel search engine site in Europe because of our unique business model and revenue proposition to our partners...we offer a profitable marketing channel to travel companies and are currently doing more than 500 bookings per day for our travel partners” said Gulati.
Sprice.com plans to continue to penetrate the Asia-Pacific market with projects in development for key markets such as India, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand.
