January 31, 2008：Priceline.com and Travelport GDS today announced a new long-term agreement under which priceline.com will process reservations through Travelport GDS´s Worldspan global distribution system (GDS). Terms of the agreement were not announced.
“Worldspan has been a partner since our launch 10 years ago, providing priceline.com suppliers and customers with consistent round-the-clock access to inventories and fares,” said Chris Soder, priceline.com’s president, North American Travel. “Over that time, we have worked closely with Worldspan’s technology team to maximize the performance of our transaction systems. We are pleased to extend our partnership with Travelport and continue to offer Worldspan within our portfolio of supplier connectivity options.”
