Online travel bookings are growing by over 20% year on year but, without overall control to adjust price and availability as the market dictates, companies are still not taking full advantage of this burgeoning market.

One solution Hilton has devised is allowing partners to directly connect to their reservation system. Phillppe Garnier, Senior Director of Distribution Systems, claims ‘partners will benefit in a number of ways using this protocol providing they have the right commercial elements in place.’

Hertz has also realised control in partnerships is vital. Nicolas Johnson, Program Manager for Sales & Marketing, explains that providing a single distribution solution worldwide for Hertz is a high priority. He added that although cost is important, effectiveness is the main issue – 100% dynamic pricing is essential to offer the best product at the best price.

Nicolas Johnson and Phillippe Garnier will be joining EyeforTravel to speak at our 6th Distribution Technology conference being held on 16-17th January in London.
