(02 October 2007) Kayak is introducing a new element to its travel search functionality in the UK to allow travel brands to have an exclusive presence on its homepage.

(02 October 2007) Kayak is introducing a new element to its travel search functionality in the UK to allow travel brands to have an exclusive presence on its homepage.

The scheme allows a dedicated section for users to also compare prices on specific sites as well as viewing search results on the existing Kayak system.

The results are displayed in a new browser window.

Lastminute.com is the first site to opt for the service, created and operated by the Kayak Network advertising portal.

The system has been running in the US since early-September and includes options for the Expedia, Travelocity and Hotwire sites.

Lastminute.com is the first travel brand in the UK to use the system following its introduction in the US in September.
