China’s State Council has issued a guideline to promote the development of “all-for-one tourism”, which was presented as a means to develop a whole area as a tourist destination, The Paper reported.
Thus, urban and rural residents will be allowed to use their own homes to legally engage in services such as homestay, and the tourists will be immersed in local scenery and culture, instead of just scenic spots or tourist sites.
Meanwhile, the government will integrate the land required for tourism development into overall land use planning.
