Singapore is top Asia-Pacific destination for Chinese tourists

Chinese visitors spent an estimated USD 2.58 billion in Singapore last year, increasing 39 percent or USD 732 million dollars from 2015.

Chinese visitors spent an estimated USD 2.58 billion in Singapore last year, increasing 39 percent or USD 732 million dollars from 2015, according to a Straits Times report. China has continued to be Singapore's top-spending source market for the second consecutive year. 

Statistics from the Singapore Tourism Board show 2.86 million Chinese visitors arrived in Singapore in 2016, up 36 percent year on year.
