Zoomcar raises funds from Chinese VC firm Cyber Carrier

India-based car rental startup Zoomcar has raised an undisclosed amount from China's venture capital company Cyber Carrier as an extension of its Series B round.

India's car rental company Zoomcar has raised an undisclosed amount from China's venture capital company Cyber Carrier as an extension of its Series B round, reported Indian news website Livemint.

The company had raised USD 24 million in August in a Series B funding round which had Ford Motor unit Ford Smart Mobility as an investor.

Zoomcar has so far raised at least USD 45 million from Sequoia Capital, Empire Angels, Nokia Growth partners among others.

Cyber Carrier is a Hong Kong-based venture capital firm focused on India, launched by Peter Zou, founder of Chinese mobile advertisement platform YeahMobi. The fund has an initial target corpus of USD 45 million, VCCircle reported in May.
