Business travel hotel booking service Roomex has secured a Series A investment round of €3.5 million, 12 years after first appearing on the scene in Ireland.

Business travel hotel booking service Roomex has secured a Series A investment round of €3.5 million, 12 years after first appearing on the scene in Ireland.

The Dublin-based company has attracted the attention of Frontline Ventures with personal participation of Paddy Holahan (ex-chairman of Hostelworld) and Bobby Healy (chief technology officer of CarTrawler).

Roomex has over 550,000 properties worldwide listed on the platform and counts the likes of Dairygold, AIB, Allianz as users.

CEO Jack Donaghy says the capital will be used to fuel its “aggressive growth strategy” in sales, marketing and tech development.
