Flight Centre acquires Travellink‘s corporate travel business

Australia’s Flight Centre Travel Group is ramping up its presence in Europe and has bought Travellink‘s corporate travel business in five markets.

Australia’s Flight Centre Travel Group is ramping up its presence in Europe and has bought Travellink‘s corporate travel business in five markets.

Travellink is part of Spanish online travel agency group eDreams ODIGEO. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Flight Centre’s statement to the Australian Stock Exchange says it has “acquired the corporate businesses owned by….eDreams ODIGEO” while eDreams talks about an agreement to “transfer the corporate travel business of the Travellink brand”.

The markets covered by the transfer/acquisition are Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

Graham Turner, managing director for Flight Centre, added that the Travellink deal also includes “a proprietary self-booking tool which can potentially be rolled out within the SME-focussed Corporate Traveller and Flight Centre Business Travel brands elsewhere in Europe as part of a lower cost corporate travel offering.”
