HNA lines up investment for Glasgow Prestwick Airport

Parent of Hainan Airlines is entering talks over a "wide range of potential partnership and investment opportunities" into Scotland's state-owned Prestwick Airport.

HNA Group, parent company of China's fourth largest carrier Hainan Airlines, has entered talks over a "wide range of potential partnership and investment opportunities into Scottish state-owned Glasgow Prestwick Airport", according to a report on Dailyrecord.co.uk.

Both parties signed a deal in London last night allowing preliminary discussions to proceed.

Founded in 2000, HNA is also involved in a string of other industries including tourism and logistics. The company is affiliated with a number of top Chinese airlines, including Hainan Airlines, Grand China Air, Tianjin Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines.
