Online travel operator Ctrip has offered free cancelation for accommodation orders in Nice between today and July 21, and will adjust itineraries for tour groups who will visit the port city depending on the real situation and tourists' will for safety concerns.
Tourists who have booked tour products to Nice between today and July 22 can ask for a free change of schedule, and a full refund will be offered if they want to cancel the trip, said Tongcheng, another online travel operator.
Qunar and eLong have also promised to offer full refund for air ticket or accommodation cancelation for tourists scheduled to visit Nice within seven days.
The European Cup has boosted tourism to France again, but the incident in Nice would deliver another heavy blow to the French tourism industry which was just slowly recovering.
